SEO Consultant/Technician

This is an entry level position suitable for a web savvy someone, preferably with experience of working with website code and / or content. You’ll be responsible for implementing Fluid search strategies with the guidance of an experienced Search Engine Optimisation Consultant.

Responsibilities will include:

• Helping us to achieve great results for our clients!
• Website, Industry & Competitor analysis
• Link building: opportunity research and implementation
• Analysing, editing, writing new text content
• Detailed monthly reporting from analytics data
• Regular monitoring: analysis of SERPs, competition, analytic data (specifically visibility keyword data and conversions).
• Maintain and understanding of other online marketing activities that affect and are affected by SEO
• Self learning, industry research, keep up to date with SEO/Search best practice
• Write and publish new and unique industry articles for publication on The Fluid Blog

Understanding and experience of the following would be beneficial, though training will be provided:

• Search Engine guidelines and algorithms
• Promotional Copywriting

Fluid Search are continuing to expand their highly skilled team of web savvy developers, designers and marketeers. We are looking for talented new web developers to join us at our studios in Hyde, near Manchester.

Candidates for our web developer jobs must have commercial experience of object oriented PHP5 and MySQL 5 (although experience with other relational database systems would be sufficient). Candidates must also be able to compose strict HTML/XHTML and CSS conforming to current standards and semantics along with a good knowledge of accessibility techniques. Ideally, web development job candidates should also be aware of and know how to cater for SEO issues which need to be considered as part of web development at Fluid Search.

We are looking for someone who possesses a thirst for knowledge with an up-to-date understanding of current web trends, technologies, standards and techniques. Experience in any of the following would be a distinct advantage: JavaScript, W3C standards, ASP (VBScript), Linux, XML and UML.

We are based in the Tameside area of Manchester, easily reached from the M60 Manchester ring road. Buses and trains run approximately every half hour between Manchester city centre and local stations.
